Fridays at The Range:Elderly Dallas Man Protects His Life and Home by Shooting Intruder

An unnamed elderly homeowner who’s Dallas residence had been burglarized multiple times in past was home this week when Deyfon Pipkins, a 33 year old felon, entered his home through a bathroom window. The elderly homeowner shot and killed Pipkins as he was climbing through the side of the house. The homeowner is legally protected by the Castle Doctrine of Texas, which allows him to protect his home without having to retreat first.

As seen in the video above, the intruders family showed up to the victims house distraught and angry while Pipkins body was being removed. “He could have used a warning,” Lakesha Thompson, Pipkins’ sister-in-law, said. “He could have let him know that he did have a gun on his property and he would use it in self-defense.”
